(NewsNation) — Amid the investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose decomposed body was found in the trunk of a car owned by the singer D4vd, it has come to light that the singer recorded a demo titled, “Celeste.”

In the song, which leaked in December 2023, D4vd can be heard singing the lyrics, “Oh Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed,” TMZ reported.

Hernandez was reported missing in April 2024 when she was only 13 years old, authorities said.

Her remains were discovered inside the Tesla registered to David Anthony Burk, D4vd’s real name, at a Hollywood tow yard on Sept. 8.

D4vd’s other alleged connection to Celeste Rivas Hernandez

NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield reported that in addition to the song, there were other connections to the “Romantic Homicide” singer and Hernandez, including a matching tattoo.

“The police did say she had this tattoo. She had a tattoo on her right index finger that said the letters ‘Shhh…’” TMZ’s Charles Latibeaudiere told “Banfield” on her Sept. 18 show.

Photos of D4vd show him with a similar tattoo on his finger. Latibeaudiere said TMZ spoke with Hernandez’s mother about her tattoo, which was in red ink.

Hernandez’s mom also said she was dating someone named “David.” In addition, photos showed Burk in the teenager’s neighborhood right before she disappeared.

No arrest made in Celeste Rivas Hernandez case

While an investigation is ongoing in the case, including having the rapper’s Hollywood home raided by the Los Angeles Police Department’s homicide unit on Sept. 17, no arrests have been made.

A former senior deputy district attorney, Matt Murphy, said the LAPD won’t need to determine the cause of death for the teenager to bring charges in the case.

“You can still prosecute, you can certainly prosecute,” Murphy told “Banfield” in a Tuesday appearance.

The cause of Hernandez’s death has been listed as deferred while the investigation continues.
