(NewsNation) — Actress Leighton Meester, star of The CW’s new show “Good Cop/Bad Cop,” is set to join her real-life husband on the set of his hit Netflix show.

Netflix announced Thursday that “Leighton Meester will guest star in ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 2 playing Kristen Bell’s middle school nemesis who Joanne crosses paths with as an adult.”

Meester is married to actor Adam Brody, who stars in Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This.” On Feb. 7, Brody won the Critics Choice Award for best actor in a comedy series for his role as Rabbi Noah Roklov on the show. The pair generated social media buzz for their PDA at the awards ceremony.

Brody thanked his wife in his acceptance speech, saying, in part, “My darling, darling, darling wife Leighton. Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family.” Brody went on to say, “I love you with all my heart.”

Meester played Blair Waldorf on past CW hit show “Gossip Girl,” which ran from 2007 to 2012. The pair married in 2014 and have two children.

Last month, they were among multiple celebrities who lost their homes in a series of Los Angeles-area wildfires.

Meester is already generating positive reviews for her role in The CW’s “Good Cop/Bad Cop,” with Variety writing that she “shines” in the new show.

NOW PLAYING

In a recent interview shared with NewsNation, Meester joked about her husband’s looks.

When she and co-star Luke Cook were asked about the hardest part of playing siblings, Meester replied, “Was it hard playing siblings? I don’t think so.”

Cook agreed and said that during filming, guest stars in the pilot said, “It feels like you’ve been working together forever.”

“We look exactly alike,” Meester added.

The two brought up the theory that people who are dating or married look alike, with Meester admitting she feels that way about her husband, Brody.

“I think that, I see that, I feel that way in my own (relationship),” Meester said.
