(NewsNation) — Comics publisher Dark Horse Comics announced it would no longer publish future works from fantasy author Neil Gaiman following accusations of sexual assault.

The publisher wrote on X that it was taking the allegations seriously and it had canceled the “Anansi Boys” comic series and a planned collected volume.

Gaiman has been accused of sexual assault by nine women. A report from Vulture detailed the allegations of eight of the women who say Gaiman sexually assaulted or raped them, in some cases while his young son was allegedly present.

Gaiman responded with a statement on his website denying the allegations.

Other projects from Gaiman have already been affected. Prime Video announced that season three of “Good Omens,” which Gaiman wrote with Terry Pratchett, is now set to consist of a single 90-minute episode. Gaiman has reportedly offered to step back from production.

A Disney adaptation of “The Graveyard Book” has also been put on hold, though neither company has confirmed that the allegations are the reason for the changes to production.

HarperCollins, W.W. Norton and Marvel Comics, all of which have published works by Gaiman, reportedly have no projects with him scheduled for the future.

Gaiman has also been published by other outlets, including Bloomsbury, Penguin, Hachette, DC Comics and Titan, but they have not issued any statements regarding the allegations or if they will continue to publish works from the author.
