(NewsNation) — Charlie Sheen was one of the highest-paid actors on television at the height of his career, earning millions of dollars each season of “Two and a Half Men,” but a career downfall and personal struggles have seen Sheen’s wealth vastly diminish in recent years.

Sheen is worth $3 million, but was once worth $150 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Charlie Sheen’s ‘Two and a Half Men’ salary

Charlie Sheen rose to fame in the 1980s after starring in numerous movies, including “Wall Street,” “Platoon,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Major League.”

However, it wasn’t until he started working in television that his wealth exploded.

Sheen was the lead in Chuck Lorre’s “Two and a Half Men” from 2003 to 2011. He was the highest-paid actor on TV at one point, earning $1.25 million an episode, Celebrity Net Worth reports. He also negotiates a deal in later seasons that saw him earn money through syndication.

At his career high, Sheen was making $48 million a season.

Sheen was fired from the hit series when he stopped showing up on set after he filed divorce from his third wife Brooke Mueller.

He also had a very public meltdown that saw him call Lorre a “contaminated little maggot.”

Charlie Sheen’s meltdowns led to fortune loss

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Sheen was paying $110,000 a month to his ex-wives, with whom he has children, before 2016.

In March 2016, Sheen claimed his monthly income went from $600,000 to $167,000 and had $12 million in debt to numerous mortgages.

“The Eight Men Out” also reportedly spent $10 million settling with people who threatened to publicly reveal his HIV status.

Charlie Sheen’s lost homes

In 2006, Sheen paid $7.6 million for a Beverly Hills Mansion, but the home went into foreclosure in 2019, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

He tried to sell the home in 2018 for $10 million, lowering the price in 2019 to nearly $8 million. He eventually ended up selling the home for $6.6 million in January 2020.
