(WJW) — Celine Dion, 57, surprised fans by offering a message of hope in the year ahead the day before New Year’s Eve.
The French-Canadian superstar singer took to social media with a current video, of which she doesn’t do many.
“As we welcome this new year, I want to take a moment to send you all my love. May this year bring you good health, happiness and peace in your heart,” Dion said.
Dion, who went public in 2022 with her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis after canceling a leg of a tour, has largely steered clear of the limelight in recent years, with notable exceptions (including an appearance at the 2024 Grammys, at her documentary “I Am: Celine Dion” screening and a short performance at the Paris Olympics), as seen in the photos above.
“I hope you find laughter in the little things, strength in the hard times and joy in the memories you create with those you love,” she said in the recent post, going on to thank fans for “keeping me in your hearts.”
“You are always in mine. From my family to yours, I just want to wish you a happy New Year,” she said.
