(NewsNation) — Britney Spears’ ex-husband is about to drop his memoir — and it’s going to rock the pop star’s already fragile world.

Kevin Federline is releasing his autobiography, “You Thought You Knew,” on October 21, and according to a description on Bookshop, it will be explosive.

A description of the book reads:

Kevin Federline: dancer, father, accidental pop culture icon. His star rose electrifying stages alongside Pink, Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, and more. But it was his turbulent marriage to pop superstar Britney Spears that made him a household name and triggered a relentless media storm, reducing him to a caricature in a world that barely knew him.

Behind the tabloid headlines was a devoted father fighting for his children and his sanity, navigating the fallout of fame and a fractured family, as everything around him spun out of control.

From the heights of global stardom to the pain of public ridicule, this memoir peels back the layers of celebrity, fatherhood, and survival to reveal the man behind the mythology. A man shaped not by spectacle or spotlight, but by love, resilience, and the steadfast resolve to give his kids a normal life.

What you thought you knew was only half the story.

Kevin Federline’s NDA with Britney Spears expired

And while Federline did sign a nondisclosure agreement after he divorced Spears in 2007, it has expired.

The terms of the divorce were that Federline had to stay mum until both Sean Preston and Jayden turned 18 (the two are now 19 and 20 years old, respectively).

Friends of Spears are deeply concerned about the timing of the book release, as sources say the pop star is once again in a manic state.

Britney Spears’ friends worry about the pop star

Just a little over a month ago, fans freaked out when Spears posted two videos of herself to Instagram, once again dancing — but this time singing off-key, talking in a bizarre British accent and writhing in pajamas and gowns in a filthy house.

At the time, a confidant said, “She’s isolating again. She pushes people away, and now even basics like housework are slipping. It’s a sign she’s spiraling.”

Since then, her behavior has gotten even weirder — as she posts more nudes and has become “increasingly paranoid.”

Friends are worried Federline’s book will “send her over the edge … again.”

In her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” Spears wrote that Federline became “enthralled with fame” after they met, which contributed to their inevitable divorce. She detailed how his desire for attention and success overshadowed his role as a father, leading to his frequent absence and eventual disinterest in their marriage.

Federline met Spears in 2004 when he was her backup dancer. The couple married a few months later, had two sons but divorced three years later — prompting Spears’ major public mental breakdown.
