(NewsNation) — Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is singing the praises of lifestyle maven Martha Stewart.

Flay was on his podcast “Bobby on the Beat” when he spoke openly about his relationship with Stewart, saying the two have known each other “forever.”

“Whenever I’m in the same room with Martha Stewart, I come out smarter,” the Food Network star said. “She is the smartest person I’ve ever come across in my life — she knows everything about everything.”

Flay made the comments during a segment of the show where he walked through Stewart’s Las Vegas restaurant, The Bedford, where he speaks to diners outside of restaurants about the food before he tries it himself.

During his visit to The Bedford, he tried a focaccia with cherry, lemon drop martini, oysters, scallops, caprese salad, smashed baked potato and a whole lobster.

“I think she’s literally one of the smartest people in the world,” he told co-host Leah Cohen. “Whenever I’m in the room with Martha Stewart, I learn something new.”
