Celebrities named in Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni

(NewsNation) —  Blake Lively’s lawsuit against “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment and a hostile work environment mentioned several other celebrities.

Here’s a list of the stars named in the suit:

Taylor Swift

One of the most recognizable names on the list was Lively’s close friend Taylor Swift.

The lawsuit showed that Baldoni’s crisis management team wrote an email to Baldoni on Aug. 6, 2024, worried about the story circulating on social media.

“We have seen the most innocuous issues turn giant due to socials or the hugest crises have no effect on social whatsoever,” the crisis management expert wrote to Baldoni, according to US Weekly. “You just cannot tell at this stage. But, BL does have some of the same TS fanbase so we will be taking it extremely seriously.”

The complaint revealed a “scenario planning” document, where Baldoni’s team considered planting stories about the weaponization of feminism and how people like Taylor Swift, “have been accused of utilizing these tactics to ‘bully’ into getting what they want.”

“The social team are now worried about Blake activating the Taylor Swift fan base, which is a major concern,” PR specialist Katie Case wrote in the Aug. 7, 2024, letter to Baldoni’s team.

“With this in mind and to ensure Justin and the Studio are 100% protected moving forward, they have now changed the fee to $30,000 per month due to the uptick in social chatter,” she said.

Ryan Reynolds

According to text messages in court records, Baldoni claimed that Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband, had blocked him and his production company Wayfarer Studios on Instagram.

“We should have a plan for IF she does the same when [the] movie comes out,” Baldoni wrote of Lively in a text exchange with a publicist. “Just want you guys to have a plan. Plans make me feel more at ease.”

In his countersuit against Reynolds and Lively, which was eventually tossed by a judge in June, Baldoni accused the “Deadpool” star of becoming unhinged in a meeting, claiming Reynolds “berated” him during a heated meeting at the couple’s home, where he “aggressively” accused Baldoni of a string of offenses against his wife, including “fat-shaming” her.

Hailey Bieber

Lively’s complaint showed text messages, where Baldoni sent a screenshot of an X thread claiming  “Hailey Bieber’s history of bullying women,” according to the text, writing, “This is what we would need.”

Francis Ford Coppola

On July 26, 2024, Baldoni and James Heath, a producer for “It Ends With Us,” told Sony that Wayfarer would be present at the film’s premiere, voicing their dissatisfaction with reported threats from Reynolds and Lively, according to Newsweek

On the same day, news emerged about director Francis Ford Coppola allegedly kissing an extra during filming for his project “Megalopolis.”

In a text conversation with PR executive Jennifer Abel, Baldoni said, “This is the s**t I’m sure they want to do—unnamed sources, etc.”

Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, and Leighton Meester

In another “scenario planning” document that Us Weekly reviewed, the “Jane the Virgin’ star’s crisis management team brought up Lively’s past working relationships with Ben Affleck, who she worked with in “The Town;” Keighton Meester, who she co-starred with in “Gossip Girl;” and Anna Kendrick, her co-star in “A Simple Favor” and “Another Simple Favor.”

“Our recommended approach would be to provide reporters who reach out for comment, should it be obvious she’s referring to you, with the appropriate background information (listed in Scenario 1) to ensure their stories are balanced and the speculation can be turned to another one of the many people she’s had issues working with (Leighton Meester, Anna Kendrick, Ben Affleck, etc.).”
