(NewsNation) — Blake Lively’s deposition in her ongoing legal case against Justin Baldoni has been pushed back two weeks following a recent ruling.
Lively was scheduled to sit for a deposition on July 17, but she and Baldoni’s lawyers agreed to reschedule the deposition for July 31, according to PEOPLE.
The date change comes the same day after Lively’s lawsuit against Jed Wallace, a publicist and social media specialist who runs Texas-based crisis-management firm Street Relations, Inc., was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds, Page Six reports.
Lively accused Wallace of helping Baldoni’s PR team launch a smear campaign against her.
On Monday, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted the “Another Simple Favor” actress a protective order stopping Baldoni’s team from choosing a location for the deposition.
“(Baldoni’s team has) not denied that their intent is to manufacture a harassing publicity stunt by requiring Ms. Lively to parade through paparazzi, or by inviting unknown attendees to the deposition, including members of the media or social media influencers, or any other number of abusive tactics,” according to the legal filing, PEOPLE reports.
Baldoni’s legal team said in a letter to Liman on Sunday that Lively was using her “celebrity status” to dictate the conditions of the now delayed deposition.
“Lively is a plaintiff who has hurled serious allegations of misconduct against the Wayfarer Parties,” Baldoni’s legal team said in the letter, according to PEOPLE.

A source told NewsNation’s Paula Froelich that “no one wants to work with Blake” because she caused production costs for “It Ends with Us” to balloon past its budget by millions of dollars.
Lively and the “Jane the Virgin” actor have been in a legal back-and-forth after she sued Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and creating a hostile environment on the set of “It Ends with Us.”
Baldoni countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for $400 million, but Liman threw out the lawsuit last month, saying that Baldoni’s team had not alleged that Lively is responsible for any statements outside of her California Civil Rights Department complaint.
Lively and Baldoni’s trial date has been set for March 2026 in New York.
