(NewsNation) — Andy wasn’t the only Warhol who got a documentary.

There is a documentary in the works about the legendary pop artist’s nephew James Warhola, an illustrator and artist in his own right.

The movie “My Nephew Jamie,” which is in the editing and post-production phase, is the story of “a prolific esteemed artist whose plight is to live up to the family heritage of being the nephew of the legendary artist Andy Warhol, anything less than stardom will be a failure.”

‘Another view’ of Andy Warhol revealed in the doc

According to the site, the documentary “examines the process of the artist James Warhola coming from a rural coal mining town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the inspiring adventures with his famous Uncle Andy Warhol that lead him to become a major successful illustrator from the 1980s until the present day.”

The proposed venue is part of the museum's Pop District initiative and would be built on an existing museum parking lot, according to Dan Law, the museum’s associate director. The documentary also “reveals another view of uncle Andy through James Warhola’s storytelling, and through his two famous children’s books (he received the International Reading Association’s Award for Best Non-Fiction Picture Book for this autobiographical story): ‘Uncle Andy’s A faabbbulous visit with Andy Warhol’. He followed up with another book about Andy and his 21 cats entitled, ‘Uncle Andy’s Cats.’”

Warhola illustrated 35 children’s picture books in all.

Documentary team seeking funds to finish filming, editing

The movie will also tell about Warhola’s trips to Uncle Andy’s famed Montauk compound and the celebrities he met there (along with all their hijinks).

However the movie is not completed — and if you ever wanted to be a movie producer, here’s your chance. As the site notes: “James is a delightful person who embodies the American Dream. We are seeking funds to finish filming, edit and complete post production. Donations over $500.00 will have a film credit.”
