(NewsNation) — Pity the poor “CBS Mornings” show.

Stuck perennially in last place among network morning shows, there’s been some recent upheaval — as co-host Tony Dokoupil leaves to front the legendary “CBS Evening News” — and next year is about to be even rockier.

As I reported earlier, Gayle King is set to leave the struggling show next year when her contract is up to become a “special events” anchor — a roaming correspondent who will do one or two large interviews a year, a la Diane Sawyer at ABC.

And now I’m hearing from sources that there’s about to be an even bigger upheaval as the network is said to be talking to former ABC stars Amy Robach and her fiancé, T.J. Holmes, to head the Tiffany Network’s mornings.

I had heard this rumor before — except initially, it was just Robach the network was interested in. However, Robach was reportedly not interested in a morning show on her own.

”The hours and lifestyle are rough,” said one insider. “Especially on a relationship.”

However, another insider said ‘There’s no truth to this.” And another person said, “Why would they want to go back to morning tv? It’s a grueling schedule.”

Robach and Holmes were let go from ABC and “GMA3” in 2022 after their relationship came to light. They were married to other people at the time — she to actor Andrew Shue, and he to Marilee Fiebig.

Within months, the duo announced a podcast titled “Amy & T.J.” and went Instagram official in 2023.

The couple announced their engagement in October.

Representatives for Robach and CBS didn’t return a request for comment.
