The Rev. William Lego, a longtime friend of the new pope, and Benedictine College theology professor Dr. Andrew Swafford join NewsNation as history is made in the Catholic Church. For the first time, an American has been elected pope. Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of Chicago was chosen by the conclave and took the name Pope Leo XIV.
