Following Israel’s strikes, Iran launched retaliatory missiles. Now, the two countries are involved in a back-and-forth that many worry will turn into an actual war. Chris Cuomo speaks with H.R. McMaster, a retired lieutenant general and former Trump national security adviser, about the conflict.

McMaster says President Trump’s proposed nuclear deal with Iran was giving them “one last shot,” and Israel concluded that it can’t allow a hostile regime to have the most destructive weapons on Earth. McMaster adds that he believes it was always inevitable a conflict like this would happen due to the nature of the Iranian regime.
