(NewsNation) — The trial of a Georgia teenager accused of killing her mother and stepfather has been delayed until August.

Sarah Grace Patrick is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated manslaughter in relation to the deaths of her mother, Kristin Brock, and her stepfather, James Brock. She is being charged as an adult.

Jury selection was expected to begin Monday, but the judge granted a delay because the defense said it had not received the results of a psychological exam, and the state asked to conduct its own.

Patrick called 911 after her younger half-sister found the bodies of her parents, who officials say died of gunshot wounds.

The Brocks were killed in February of 2025, but Patrick was not arrested until months later.

Before her arrest, Patrick reportedly reached out to true crime TikTokers asking for help publicizing her parents’ unsolved case.

The woman behind the “AllegedlyReportedly” TikTok page, who has asked to be referred to as “Janice,” told NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield that Patrick said she could provide “intel” on the case.

“Even if some things were odd, I did not think to myself, ‘She took the lives of her mother and stepfather,’” the TikToker said. “But I guess, looking back, hindsight, maybe I should have found it even stranger than I did.”

The judge warned there would be no further delays granted in the case.
