Woman wanted for Thanksgiving stabbings taken into custody

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman who was wanted after being accused of stabbing two people on Thanksgiving night has been taken into custody, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Sunday night, the sheriff’s office announced that 27-year-old Gabrielle Jones was arrested in the Greenbrook Apartments in the area of Whitten Road and Greenbrook Parkway.

The sheriff’s office says Jones was wanted in connection with a stabbing that left a man and woman in non-critical condition. The stabbing occurred in a parking lot on Hacks Cross Road near Lowrance Road on November 29.

Jones has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

According to an affidavit, the female victim was stabbed eight times and underwent three surgeries due to her injuries.
