NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On July 10, 2012, Jaquon Pittman was gunned down in a family member’s backyard in New Orleans. Thirteen years later, the crime remains unsolved.

The crime happened around 2:00 that afternoon in the St. Roch neighborhood. Family members told NewsNation affiliate WGNO that Pittman was killed by a pair of gunmen who fired more than a dozen shots. They also said that Pittman’s girlfriend was injured when she was grazed by one of the bullets.

Pittman was killed just days before he was set to enlist in the Air National Guard. Watch the full case in the player above.
