SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) in Louisiana has arrested multiple individuals in connection with the alleged human trafficking and sexual assault of a child.
The child, who was initially reported as a runaway from the state of New Jersey, was located by Shreveport Police officers.
During an investigation, detectives found that the child had been subjected to a violent sexual incident involving several individuals and obtained arrest warrants for Daiquan Blackman.
The Special Response Team executed these warrants on October 22, just after 2 p.m., at an apartment complex near the intersection of Forum Drive and Hearn Avenue. There, they found and arrested Blackman for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles
Detectives from the Vice Unit have also launched an investigation into the human trafficking aspects of the case, resulting in further arrests.
- Malina Caldwell – charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, one count of indecent behavior with juveniles, and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
- Keyana Anderson – charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities stating additional charges, including rape and human trafficking, may be added in the near future.
The Shreveport Police Department is working with the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office and the New Jersey State Police on this matter.
