(NewsNation) — Nevada mother Andrea Loving was taken into custody on Tuesday, and authorities charged her with first-degree murder in connection with the death of her 5-year-old daughter, Izabella, in April.

In a press release, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Loving was booked on an additional charge of murder to “reflect the nature and extent of her actions.” People Magazine reported that Izabella was found unresponsive at her family’s home on April 3, where she was allegedly forced to sleep in a locked, makeshift box. The outlet noted that she was covered with “signs of trauma.” Both Andrea and Nicholas Loving have been charged with murder following a months-long investigation.

According to People Magazine, the investigation revealed that Andrea Loving Google searched phrases such as “signs my child is dying,” “my five-year-old is peeing blood,” and “how long can you go without food.”

“The loss of Izabella Loving continues to weigh heavily on our community and everyone in my office,” Chris Hicks, the Washoe County District Attorney, wrote. “As this case continues to move forward, the facts uncovered only reinforce the seriousness of what occurred and the responsibility we have to pursue justice for Izzy.”

Nicholas Loving’s next court date is Jan 7, while Andrea Loving’s has not yet been scheduled.
