(NewsNation) — Montana officials said the search for the suspect in a deadly bar shooting is expanding as it enters a sixth day.
Officials did not give specifics on where the search has expanded but said there are several local, state and federal teams taking part in efforts.
In a press briefing Tuesday, Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte said Michael Paul Brown, 45, is still at large and that law enforcement has been “unrelenting” in their search.
“Once found, I have no doubt the Montana Department of Justice will prosecute this killer to the full extent of the law to bring justice to those grieving the loss of a loved one, and solace to members of the Anaconda community,” Gianforte said.
Gianforte added he signed an executive order Tuesday morning releasing emergency funds, which will help local law enforcement agencies pay their employees overtime and continue the search.
Brown, 45, a U.S. Army veteran, is accused of killing four people at the Owl Bar in Anaconda, Montana, on Friday. The victims were identified as bartender Nancy Lauretta Kelly, 64, and patrons Daniel Edwin Ballie, 59; David Allen Leach, 70; and Tony Wayne Palm, 74.
Police said Brown fled the scene in a stolen vehicle with clothes and camping gear. They also warned he could return to the city, which has a population of approximately 9,000 people.
The U.S Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to Brown’s capture. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information that leads to Brown’s arrest is asked to call the tip line at 1-877-926-8332.
