CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport man accused of committing sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl in November 2023 was found guilty as charged of second-degree rape by a Caddo Parish jury.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the 10-woman, two-man jury deliberated just over an hour before returning its verdict against Brandon Lehard Moore, 33.
On the day of the crime, Moore approached the victim and engaged in illicit activities, including smoking marijuana with her, before forcing her to perform oral sex and attempting to have sexual intercourse with her.
During the trial, the victim provided testimony, supported by a DNA expert, a sexual assault nurse examiner, an advocate from the Gingerbread House, and a detective from the Shreveport Police Department.
Moore is scheduled to appear in Judge Emanuel’s court for sentencing on December 4, 2025.
He faces a potential prison term ranging from five to 40 years at hard labor, without the possibility of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
Moore was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Senae D. Hall and Fernando Grider Jr.
