(NewsNation) — Convicted murderer Lori Vallow sent a message to her only surviving child, Colby Ryan, during CrimeCon 2025.

The “Doomsday Mom” was found guilty in the deaths of her children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow, and conspiracy in the death of her husband’s former wife, Tammy Daybell. She has also been found guilty of conspiring to kill her estranged husband, Charles Vallow, and her former nephew-in-law.

In a message to panel host and journalist Nate Eaton, Vallow asked for the following message to be shared: “If you talk to Colby, please tell him that ‘I love you very much, no matter what.'”

“You can ask him about [Bible verse] Matthew 25,” she added.

The sister of Tammy Daybell, who was killed in what prosecutors say was a doomsday-focused plot, told jurors Friday, April 28, 2023, that her sister's funeral was held so quickly that some family members couldn't attend. Vallow claims her planned killings were part of a religious prophecy. When asked about the verse mentioned in her message, Ryan told the panel it was his mother’s attempt to appear “godly” in front of others.

The verse discusses the parable of the wheat and the tares — essentially, good seeds and bad seeds coexisting, with the righteous ultimately being separated from the wicked when judgment comes.

“It’s her trying to talk about the wicked and the good being sifted apart, basically. So it’s her way of trying to say she is still good and, basically, godly,” he said.

Ryan told Eaton he has no desire to talk to his mother again.

Vallow is already serving multiple life sentences in Idaho for her children’s deaths.
