Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville reported that a murder case from 1981 has been solved.
According to a state police report, on Wednesday, November 26, 76-year-old Clinton Rogers of Saegertown admitted to killing his wife, Lonene Rogers, back in January of 1981.
At the time, Rogers was 32 years old when he reported his wife was missing.
Rogers told police then that he and his wife had had an argument on the evening of January 6, 1981. But Rogers claimed that when he woke up the next morning, his wife was gone.
At the time, police reported finding her purse, hearing aids, glasses, car and car keys still at the house.
Numerous searches for Lonene Rogers were conducted over the years, but to no avail.
Clinton Rogers is currently being held in the Indiana County Jail.
