(NewsNation) — Idaho State Police have released more photos from Bryan Kohberger‘s case, including the knife sheath that tied him to the murder of four college students.

The department released thousands of new documents related to the case on Friday, which was mostly related to DNA and fingerprint evidence that was found at the residence of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves.

A forensic genetic genealogy company helped provide a DNA profile from the knife sheath to connect Kohberger to the November 2022 murders.

Documents also show how many pieces of potential evidence investigators sent to the Idaho State Crime Lab, including blood stained items, fingerprints and even nail clippings from the victims. Inventory also included trash collected from Kohberger’s Pennsylvania apartment.

In October, a judge sided with the families of the victims to block the graphic photos and videos from the crime scene from becoming public.

Kohberger is serving a life sentence is prison for the murders.
