(NewsNation) — Authorities have identified the suspect in a shooting on the Kentucky State University campus as Jacob Lee Bard.
The shooting Dec. 9 killed one student, De’Jon Darrell Fox Jr., and injured another. The injured student, whose identity has not been released, is in critical but stable condition.
Both Bard and Fox are from Indiana, though authorities have not indicated whether they knew each other.
The Frankfort Police Department said Bard is the parent of a KSU student.
Bard is facing charges of murder and first-degree assault.
The school canceled all classes, activities and final exams for the rest of the week.
