EAGLE PASS, Texas (NewsNation) — Two people were killed and multiple others were injured early Sunday in a shooting at a casino in Texas, according to police.

Keryan Jones, 34, is accused of opening fire at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in the border town of Eagle Pass.

Police said Jones was arrested a few hours after the shooting, following a pursuit in which Texas Department of Public Safety officers fired shots. No officers were injured.

Marcus “Mark” Antley, a retired Customs and Border Patrol agent, was among the two people killed at the casino, according to Eagle Pass Mayor Aaron Valdez.

“Mr. Antley dedicated much of his life to public service and law enforcement,” Valdez said. “He will be remembered not only for his career but also for his generosity, leadership, and the lasting friendships he built throughout Eagle Pass and the region. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of many.”
