(NewsNation) — The Justice Department has released transcripts from its two-day meeting with Jeffrey Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence for the sex trafficking of minor females.
The DOJ released four transcripts and 16 audio recordings from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s meetings with Maxwell on July 24 and 25.
Shortly after that meeting, Maxwell was transferred to a lower security prison.
Maxwell on Bill Gates
Maxwell said she met Bill Gates because his chief of staff, named “Boris” was friendly with Epstein. Though, she could not remember if she saw Gates at Epstein’s house, “maybe I met him there.”
No memory of Trump submitting letter for birthday book
The president is suing the Wall Street Journal for publishing a story detailing an alleged letter Trump sent to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.
When asked by Blanche if she recalled Trump’s involvement, she replied, “I do not remember.”
Maxwell can’t remember Mar-a-Lago massages
In addition to saying she never saw President Trump acting inappropriately, Maxwell said she could not recall if she recruited masseuses from Mar-a-Lago.
Clinton never received massage: Maxwell
“Do you know whether, for example, President Clinton ever received a massage?” Blanche asked Maxwell.
She replied, “I don’t believe he did.”
Maxwell added: “… The plane, they went on the plane 26 times or whatever. That would be one journey. So they spent time on the plane together, and I don’t believe there was ever a massage on the plane.
“So that would’ve been the only time that I think that President Clinton could have even received a massage. And he didn’t, because I was there.”
Maxwell doesn’t believe Epstein died by suicide
Maxwell told Blanche she didn’t believe Epstein died by suicide.
“So you think he was — he did not die by suicide, given all the things we just talked about,” Blanche asked Maxwell during the first day of their interview.
“I do not believe he died by suicide, no,” Maxwell replied. “I do not have any reason to believe that. And I also think it’s ludicrous, because if that — I also happen to think if that is what they wanted, they would’ve had plenty of opportunity when he wasn’t in jail,” Maxwell said.
“And if they were worried about blackmail or anything from him, he would’ve been a very easy target.”
Maxwell on who went to the island
When asked about Epstein’s relationships with Chris Tucker, Kevin Spacey and Naomi Campbell, Maxwell said Tucker and Spacey never went to the island.
She said it’s possible that Campbell may have gone.
Bill Clinton never went to island
Maxwell said President Bill Clinton never traveled to Epstein’s island. She also confirmed Clinton was her friend, not Epstein’s.
RFK Jr. and Epstein
Maxwell said Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. knew Epstein, but said she had not seen him be inappropriate.
She later clarified that she never saw any man do anything inappropriate by her definition.
“Now, somebody’s inappropriate and mine may be different,” she said. Asked how she knew Kennedy, Maxwell replied, “Because we went on a trip together,” she said, referring to her and Epstein.
“Dinosaur bone hunting in the Dakotas.”
‘There is no list’
When asked about Epstein’s alleged client list, which has been the fuel for many conspiracy theories, Maxwell said, “There is no list. We’ll start with that. The genesis of that story, I can actually trace for you from its absolute inception, if that is what you’re interested in.”
Epstein and Harvey Weinstein
Maxwell confirmed that Weinstein would call Epstein when he needed to raise money for a business.
Weinstein is a convicted sex offender.
Alan Dershowitz and Epstein
Maxwell said she never observed Dershowitz doing anything inappropriate with young girls.
Chelsea Clinton’s wedding
Maxwell said that she and her boyfriend attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, but Epstein was not there.
Prince Andrew allegations
In her interview, Maxwell denied an allegation that a young woman was paid to have sex with Prince Andrew.
She did say Epstein told her to organize a trip for the prince to New York City.
Maxwell on Trump
In her interview, Maxwell was complimentary toward the president, calling him a gentleman.
Maxwell on Elon Musk
Maxwell recalled meeting billionaire Elon Musk at an event held by Google co-founder Sergey Brin as well as at the Oscars.
Epstein birthday letter
Maxwell was asked about a report in the Wall Street Journal regarding a racy birthday letter Trump allegedly sent Epstein that featured a drawing of a naked woman.
She said she had no recollection of such a letter.
Trump and Epstein’s relationship
When asked about the relationship between Trump and Epstein, Maxwell described the two as “friendly” in social settings.
She said she had never seen Trump get a massage or behave inappropriately in any way.
