(NewsNation) —Sean “Diddy” Combs’ defense team told a judge Tuesday that their case will take between two and five trial days, a much lower estimate than the multi-week presentation they previously anticipated.

Judge Arun Subramanian asked both sides how much time they will still need as the court entered its sixth week.

Combs’ lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said their presentation could last less than two days, but not more than five.

The defense team had originally estimated it would take about two to three weeks for their case when the trial opened.

The short duration almost guarantees that Combs will not testify at his trial.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The government is nearing its end as well.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey told the judge they would rest as early as Wednesday and no later than Friday morning.

The court will not be in session on Thursday in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Prosecutors resumed showing jurors evidence Tuesday of text messages, phone calls and hotel records to support charges that Combs oversaw a racketeering conspiracy that utilized his employees and associates to help him control and abuse women, including two former girlfriends.
