(NewsNation) — Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex crimes trial continued Friday in Lower Manhattan.
Kanye West was in attendance. He arrived around 11:20 a.m. in a Maybach vehicle. He was escorted by Combs’ attorney, Xavier Donaldson, and Combs’ son, Christian. He sat in the overflow room. He was there to support the fallen hip-hop mogul.
Jonathan Perez, Combs’ former assistant, is set to testify this week along with Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Andre LeMon.
LeMon is the government’s witness. He has been with HSI in Los Angeles since 2018. Since 2023, he has been with the scientific human trafficking and smuggling group. He was part of the team that searched Combs’ residence in Los Angeles on March 25, 2024.
900 Bottles of Astroglide found at Diddy’s residence
The prosecution stated that they found five yellow envelopes containing white powder inside resealable bags. There was another yellow envelope that had the same, with two resealable bags inside. Those bags tested positive for ketamine. Another bag was found to test positive for MDMA.
LeMon said 200 bottles of baby oil and 900 bottles of Astroglide were found at Combs’ residence during the search.
In addition, the federal agents found numerous firearms, including a bolt-action Ruger Rifle, three Smith and Wesson M&P rifles (a semiautomatic AR-15 platform), a Glock pistol and a Mossberg pump-action shotgun.
Perez, Combs’ former personal assistant, began working for Combs Enterprises (later Combs Global) in 2021. He started at $85,000 and worked his way up to $100,000 per year. He reported to Kristina Khorram, Combs’ chief of staff.
Diddy’s ex-assistant testified he helped prepare for ‘king nights’
Perez said he was tasked to help prepare for “king nights,” also referred to as “hotel nights” and “Freak Offs.”
He explained that “king nights” were when the rapper would go to a hotel for “private time” with a woman. Perez said Jane was “one of Mr. Combs’ guests” for “king nights.”
Combs’ ex-assistant said he would bring food, beverages, liquor, lights, music, condoms and lube for the “king nights.”
Perez testified he was responsible for hotel cleanups as well, which he described as “a bit of a mess,” “disarray … lots of sheets and towels and oils.”
After roughly a year of working for Combs, Perez said he saw a video of Combs’ then-partner “engaging in sexual activity.” In the portion of the video he saw, he said Combs was visible in the background. He said he told Combs and then Khorram.
Perez said on the stand that Khorram asked him about the sex tape footage about six months later, informing him someone from outside of their company had made a call about the video.
Perez did not know that the phone call was being recorded from January 30, 2023. It was entered into evidence.
The former assistant of Combs said Khorram mentioned that the entertainment entrepreneur wanted an investigation into how the footage was obtained.
Perez said she told him, “Please, please really think.”
The hip-hop mogul’s ex-girlfriend, testifying under the pseudonym “Jane,” completed her dayslong testimony Thursday.
On the stand, Jane described a “toxic” relationship with Combs. She testified she begrudgingly had “hotel nights,” which were drug-fueled sex parties under the demand of Combs. Jane would have sex with male sex workers in front of the rapper.
The influencer said she smuggled drugs twice for Combs.
Jane said she felt pressured to perform sex acts with other men in order to satisfy her then-partner, and felt indebted to him since he paid for her housing.
Over the course of their relationship, he gave Jane over $150,000 and gifted her luxury items like purses and jewelry.
Combs has pleaded not guilty. He faces federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
