(NewsNation) — 50 Cent says he would prevent any potential pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs from President Donald Trump.
Trump said that he would “certainly look at the facts” when it came to potentially pardoning Combs if he is convicted. However, 50 Cent has now promised to prevent a pardon from becoming a reality.
50 Cent took to Instagram over the weekend, saying, “[Combs] said some really bad things about Trump, it’s not OK. I’m gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.”
Trump says he will ‘look at the facts’ for potential Diddy pardon
On Friday, Trump was reportedly asked if a Combs pardon had been discussed. He replied, “Nobody’s asked. I know people are thinking about it. People have been very close to asking.”
He also said, “I would certainly look at the facts. If I think somebody is mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact on me.”
Trump told reporters that he hadn’t seen or spoken to Combs in years: “He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up. From what I read. I don’t know, he didn’t tell me that. But I read some little bit nasty statements in the paper all of a sudden.”
Some media outlets had reported 50 Cent had planned to “nuke” the pardon, which caused the rapper to post on Instagram again to clarify. “I didn’t say I would nuke anything, I simply said I will make sure Trump is aware,” he wrote.
50 Cent mentioned during Diddy’s trial by Capricorn Clark: Report
50 Cent was mentioned last week during Diddy’s trial by Capricorn Clark, Combs’ former assistant. Clark said Combs had spoken with his former manager, Chris Lighty, about the feud he had with 50 Cent.
“I don’t like all the back and forth … I like guns,” Clark allegedly recalled Combs saying to Lighty. The feud between Combs and 50 Cent goes back to at least 2006, when 50 Cent released his song called “The Bomb.”

In that song, 50 Cent accuses Combs of knowing who killed rapper Notorious B.I.G. Recently, 50 Cent has made several posts about Combs’ trial on his Instagram. He has even posted AI-generated images of Combs in swimming pools full of baby oil.
50 Cent reportedly sold his documentary about the allegations against Combs to Netflix. He has said that all proceeds will go to victims of rape and sexual assault.
50 Cent believes Diddy should’ve taken a plea deal
50 Cent was in court to hear Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s testimony and said, “After listening to today’s testimony, I think the diddler should have took the plea offer. The s**t they are saying is beyond me, so what do ya think?”
50 Cent also wrote about Jay-Z’s friendship with Combs, saying, “Friends till the end, Jay you still there? We blew up Kid cudi’s car to show him who’s the BOSS!” The rapper was referring to an incident where Combs allegedly set Kid Cudi’s car on fire for dating Ventura.
