(NewsNation) — A special agent who reviewed evidence in the case against Sean “Diddy” Combs resumed testimony Monday morning, and prosecutors are expected to soon rest their case.

Joseph Cerciello, a special agent for Homeland Security Investigations, opened the trial’s seventh week. Cerciello had no involvement in this case but reviewed thousands of pages of phone and travel records.

Prosecutors said they would conclude their presentation with Cerciello on Tuesday morning.

Combs’ defense attorneys told Judge Arun Subramanian they would open and close their case on Tuesday and are only planning to offer evidence. This implies that they will not call any witnesses.

Both sides agreed to meet for a charging conference on Wednesday, and closing arguments will begin Thursday.

Jury views more explicit videos in Diddy trial

Cerciello testified about evidence provided by the prosecution and said he reviewed bank records, cell phone records, and airline and ground transportation records.

His testimony was intended to bolster previous witness testimony and evidence presented by the prosecutors.

The agent said he reviewed “many hours” of nearly 50 videos showing sexual encounters that were retrieved from Combs. The videos included Combs’ ex-partner “Jane,” who testified against him under a pseudonym, and a sex worker.

Prosecutors played nearly 20 minutes of explicit recordings from 2021 and 2022 for the jury.

Texts show Diddy’s chief of staff supplied Plan B for Freak Offs

Cerciello also testified to texts between Combs and his chief of staff Kristina Khorram. In one 2022 text, Combs tells Khorram that he “really wanted to have a fun night in Vegas” with a woman named Annika.

Khorram replied, saying that she had a room at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and put Plan B in his nightstand. She reminded him of the medication in later texts.

Khorram has not testified in the trial, though her texts have been introduced by summary witnesses like Cerciello.

In another text, Khorram asks Combs not to leave a location in the middle of the night without telling her or his staff. She said that would be a vulnerability and danger for Combs.

“Puff seriously,” she wrote. “I love you to death but you have to stop.”

Diddy paid for escorts using his credit card, records show

Jurors were shown flight and hotel records belonging to several people, including sex workers who were paid using Combs’ credit card.

Records showed that one sex worker stayed at Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York, which was charged to Combs’ card.

Records also showed that Combs wired Jane $5000 a few days after her credit card was charged for expenses related to the same sex worker.

Text messages revealed Combs tried to haggle rates with an escort service, explaining he was a long-time customer.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and two counts of sex trafficking.
