Clues may reveal how Celeste Rivas Hernandez spent final days

(NewsNation) — A private investigator uncovered new items he feels could provide information on where Celeste Rivas Hernandez spent her last days before her death.

Steve Fischer says he found a Build-A-Bear certificate from April 21, 2024, 16 days after Hernandez was reported missing for the final time. The bear had her cousin’s name, Esmerelda, on it. On the same day, D4vd was spotted on TikTok riding a rollercoaster at the very same Six Flags amusement park where the bear was made.

PI believes D4vd and Celeste were in the same place

“There were people aware of where Celeste was, and they’re obviously in contact,” said Fischer.

“They planned this out. And I don’t believe this is just a coincidence. I believe that Esmeralda and D4vd were there.”

Fischer also discovered Hernandez was at Esmerelda’s graduation and a photo of the two from 2023, when Hernandez, age 13 at the time, was in Las Vegas. D4vd was performing in the city at the same time.

“I think there were adult family members there as well,” he added, “And they should have notified law enforcement that Celeste that we’ve located her, and then they intervene and find out what’s going on. But that didn’t happen.”

Fischer believes the results of Hernandez’s toxicology report might shed further light on the timeframe of her disappearance and death.

So I believe her initial tox report may be back and they’re still working through the cause and manner,” Fischer said. “But there’s also a good chance because of her that they have to send this out for additional testing or different type of testing to get a result.”

Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s autopsy results still not revealed

As of last week, the case of Hernandez was still listed as deferred, which the medical examiner explains as pending additional investigation.

The LAPD, when questioned on the case, said, “The vehicle had been parked at the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so Ms. Rivas Hernandez may have been deceased for several weeks before the discovery of her body.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body,” the department added.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez laid to rest after remains found in D4vd’s Tesla

Hernandez was laid to rest by her family after police discovered her body Sept. 8 in a Tesla that belonged to singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.

D4vd was on tour when police contacted him about Hernandez’s body being found, and officers searched his Hollywood Hills home for evidence. The singer canceled the rest of his tour and is reportedly cooperating with police.

Police have not named any suspects in Hernandez’s death, and D4vd has not been accused of any crime in connection with her body being found.
