(NewsNation) — A former stylist for Casandra “Cassie” Ventura testified Thursday that he had to jump on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ back to stop him from abusing Ventura when the two were dating.

Celebrity stylist Deonte Nash worked for Combs from 2008 to 2018. He told jurors he was “very close” to Ventura and learned about her relationship with Combs early in his employment.

Nash testified to observing several abusive interactions. Nash also corroborated Ventura’s testimony that Combs frequently beat and tormented her. Combs would threaten to hinder Ventura’s fledgling music career and said he’d ruin her reputation by releasing recordings of their sexual encounters, Nash said.

On Thursday, Nash returned to the witness stand for his cross-examination by Combs’ lawyer, Xavier Donaldson.

Stylist claims he introduced Cassie to Michael B. Jordan

Nash said Ventura and actor Michael B. Jordan were, “it was like, whatever… talking, getting to know each other,” after the entertainer learned Combs cheated on her with another woman referenced as, “Gina.”

Nash said he introduced Ventura to Jordan around 2015.

He was shown texts referencing Ventura and Jordan, but Nash said he could not recall the context, and responded, “I don’t remember the context, but I’m sure we were being antagonized by your client (Combs).”

Nash discussed a particular incident around 2014 in which Combs allegedly grabbed Ventura by the hair and yanked her off the couch before beginning to hit her.

The stylist said he was at Ventura’s apartment, helping her pack for a music festival, when Combs stormed in, grabbed her by the hair and beat her repeatedly. Nash said he jumped on Combs’ back in an attempt to get him to stop, but Combs bucked and threw him to the ground.

Combs resumed hitting Ventura, who’d fled to a bedroom with Nash and another friend, knocking her head into the edge of the bed frame and causing a large, bloody gash above her eye, the witness said.

“Look what y’all made me do,” Combs said, according to Nash.

The stylist said he noticed “a lot” of blood coming from a cut on Ventura’s head from the beating. Jurors were shown photos of the injury.

Nash left Bad Boy Productions in 2018.

Ex-Diddy personal assistant ‘Mia’ takes the witness stand

A former Combs assistant referred to as “Mia” took the stand Thursday. She was hired by Combs at around 25 or 26 and earned $50,000, although she was initially promised $55,000.

“Mia” said she was told the role would be “24/7” and said she was expected to respond to Combs’ needs at any given time. She worked for Combs from 2009 to 2017, first as a personal assistant and later as the director of development and acquisition at Revolt Films.

“Mia” said on the stand that she assumed her job responsibilities ended once Combs went to sleep for the night. She recalled an incident in either 2009 or 2010 when she left Combs’ property to see friends at roughly 2 a.m. Afterward, she learned that the record label executive sent out his security to locate her.

The former personal assistant explained that her then-boss told her she could not lock her bedroom doors.

“Mia” alleged that Combs raped her in the rapper’s Beverly Hill homes. She said on the stand that while she was sleeping at the residence, she woke up to “the weight of a person on top of me.” The ex-Combs assistant said it was “Puff.”

“The highs were really high and the lows really low. Puff’s mood determined the environment.  He threw things at me, threw me against the wall, threw me in the pool, he’s threw something against my head. Sexually assaulted me, “Mia” said.

She said that at one point, she was the only Combs’ assistant for a year as three others quit. “Mia” expressed it was very difficult and when she made mistakes, she would be berated and punished.

In an email written in 2011 read in court, “Mia” described her job duties as serving as his liaison with Hollywood, maintaining his schedule, staying in his line of sight, anticipating his needs and protecting his privacy. She detailed in that email that each day could range from “cracking his knuckles or doing his taxes.”

The ex-assistant said that Combs would take away things “all the time” from Ventura, “when he was upset.” It was her job at times to “keep tabs” on Ventura for the label executive.

“I had to do everything that he told me to do,” “Mia” testified. “We had to be wherever Puff told us we could be.”

“Mia” said, “I’ve seen him attack her. I’ve seen him crack her head open.”

Ventura did not fight back, according to the former assistant. She said Combs’ violence happened “all the time.”

Diddy’s ‘eyes would turn black’ during violent rage: testimony

“Mia” recounted an alleged episode when Combs was “crazy aggressive.” She said the rapper entered Ventura’s apartment asking the singer and his then-assistant if they had been drinking.

After the altercation where Nash jumped onto Combs in an attempt to stop him from harming her, “Mia” said Combs took Ventura into the bedroom where “Mia” believed “he’s actually gonna kill her.”

Then, she said that Combs pushed Ventura’s head into the bedframe’s “sharpest, strongest corner” and the singer began “gushing blood.”

After seeing Ventura bleeding. “Mia” said that Combs “immediately snapped into protector/survivor mode,” and asked another assistant, Kayla, to contact the doctor and tell them that Ventura got drunk and injured herself.

“Mia” explained that she called Kayla in order to get the help Ventura needed, and that Combs told her to.

She said Combs’ “eyes turned black” during this violent episode, and she felt “severe danger.” The former assistant detailed that she had seen the rapper under the influence of drugs, but there was no inkling he was during this time.

The following day, “Mia” said she received a call from HR to tell her she was in “big trouble” for insubordination and was suspended without pay.
