(NewsNation) — Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex-partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura testified Wednesday that she developed an opioid addiction as a coping mechanism for her participation in Combs’ “Freak Off” sex parties.
Ventura told jurors that she would attempt to recover from the multi-day sex parties by taking IV fluids, getting massages and eating chef-prepared meals.
But she said she developed a reliance on opioids, which she testified made her feel numb.
Ventura, who told jurors that the sexual activity caused her to develop urinary tract infections. She also testified that she felt “really empty” and “gross” after the “Freak Offs”.
She added, “I felt like I did my job.”
During her Tuesday testimony, Ventura told jurors that she once complained about the sexual things that she was made to do by Combs as well as as the abusive nature of the activity.
She said that she told Combs, “You treat me like Ike”, referencing Ike Turner, who was characterized in Tina Turner’s autobiography and subsequent television adaption of the book as an abusive lover.
