(FOX40.COM) — Many Starbucks lovers have been upset with how quickly this year’s merchandise sold out, including the bear cup; however, the company announced that its reusable Red Cup Day will be in stores on Thursday.
The holiday drinks have been released for about a week now, and the company continues to spread its holiday joy with an old tradition.
According to Starbucks officials, Red Cup Day returns to local stores for customers who purchase a handcrafted holiday beverage and will receive a free 2025 limited-edition cup.
This year’s cup was designed and hand-drawn by Starbucks designer Yvonne Chen. The cup is 16 ounces, made with 95% recycled material and features an illustration of the front of the coffeehouse.
“The design is inspired by the little moment of magic you feel when you step into a Starbucks from the cold outside,” Chan said. “With the hand-drawn sketch, I tried to capture the feeling of something crafted by one person for another.”
A Starbucks spokesperson said that Red Cup Day is a tradition for its customers that continues every year.
