(NewsNation) — Brawls are breaking out over a new Starbucks holiday cup that is shaped like a bear.

The cup in question is the Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup, priced at $29.95. Starbucks unveiled the cup in October, along with the rest of its holiday merchandise line, noting items would be available for a limited time while supplies last.

The cuddly-looking cup has been a big hit since it became available at the coffee chain on Nov. 6, selling out at locations across the country. The bear has begun popping up for resale on eBay with price tags ranging from $300 to $1,050. The battle for the bear hasn’t stopped there; police in Houston had to break up a fight over the cup Thursday.

“Despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast,” a company spokesperson said in an email to CBS News. “We understand many customers were excited about the Bearista cup and apologize for the disappointment this may have caused.”

It is unclear if Starbucks will make more of the cups available.
