Employees who are paid biweekly will get three paychecks in a single month sometime this year.
This doesn’t mean you’re getting paid more for the same amount of work; it’s just the way the calendar falls.
When will I get extra paychecks in 2026?
If your first paycheck of 2026 arrived on Friday, Jan. 2, you will see an extra paycheck in January and July.
If your first paycheck of 2026 arrives on Friday, Jan. 9, you will see an extra paycheck in May and October.
If you don’t get paid on Fridays but still get paid biweekly, you can calculate when to expect your third paycheck by looking at a calendar, noting the first day you received pay this year and then marking every two weeks until you find your three-paycheck months.

If your first paycheck of 2027 arrives on Friday, Jan. 1, you will see an extra paycheck in January, July and December.
If your first paycheck of 2027 arrives on Friday, Jan. 8, you will see an extra paycheck in April and October.
