SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — In the age of gender wars, a popular phone app has gone viral after making it possible for men to post anonymously about women.
To compete with an app that allows women to post anonymously about men, a company has developed a new phone app called ‘TeaOnHer,’ which enables men to do the same. Since its launch, the app has taken the top spot on Apple’s App Store charts and has started trending on social media.
The other app, called ‘Tea‘, was launched in 2023 and has attracted more attention over the past year. This platform is exclusively for women to post anonymously about men. Instead of being a platform for criticizing men, most users reportedly utilize it to offer resources that help women date safely. TeaOnHer, the version for men, also emphasizes that the app is designed to “help men date safely.”
Since the launch of the TeaOnHer app, some users have shared their thoughts on it. One user commented, “Mocking women by making an app for “safety for men” knowing full well women are not the predators in our society is pathetic. While I know some of you have false fear that you will be a “victim” of a woman, every woman I am friends with has been a true victim of a man.”
Another user wrote, “This app just saved me from making a girlfriend out of a runaround who lied about her past and past lifestyle.” One user voiced their frustrations, saying, “Are men not allowed to protect their reputations and stay safe too? Are men the only abusers/liars/cheaters? Or are men not allowed to say anything about their bad experiences?”
Currently, the TeaOnHer app has a rating of 2.3 out of 5 stars, whereas the Tea app for women has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.
