(NewsNation) — Apple is taking another step to enhance the experience for its iPhone users with the introduction of the iPhone Pocket.
The limited edition item, in collaboration with Issey Miyake, is inspired by the concept of “a piece of cloth,” the tech giant says. The pocket’s singular 3D-knitted construction is designed to fit any iPhone and all pocketable items.
“The design of iPhone Pocket speaks to the bond between iPhone and its user, while keeping in mind that an Apple product is designed to be universal in aesthetic and versatile in use,” said Yoshiyuki Miyamae, design director of Miyake Design Studio.
The crossbody version iPhone Pocket can be purchased for $229.95 and comes in blue, brown or black. The shorter version, priced at $149.95, comes in the same colors and vivid orange, yellow, purple, pink, and turquoise. The pocket can be hooked over your arm or tied to a bag.
“Apple and Issey Miyake share a design approach that celebrates craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight,” said Apple’s Molly Anderson. “This clever extra pocket exemplifies those ideas and is a natural accompaniment to our products.”
The iPhone Pocket will be available for purchase online starting Nov. 14.
It will also be available at a handful of Apple Store locations in the U.S., France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the U.K.
