(NewsNation) — Ashley Parham, who says she was gang-raped by Sean “Diddy” Combs and members of his entourage, said she went to the hospital after the incident, underwent a rape kit exam, and reported the assault a second time.
According to Parham, the rape kit was inconclusive because she didn’t take the test until a couple of weeks after the incident.
“I didn’t have the guts to go earlier, and I regret that,” Parham said during an exclusive interview on NewsNation’s “Banfield.”
Ariel Mitchell, Parham’s attorney, told “Banfield” she’s waiting for the primary care doctor to provide an order form for her client’s request to undergo STD testing at the time. Mitchell said the order “proves she went to the hospital and reported a rape.”
“Unfortunately, due to the delay, there was not much that would or could have been found,” Mitchell said.
Diddy denies accusations
Combs firmly denies the accusations and his attorneys provided this statement: “As the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department confirmed, her report was thoroughly investigated and it was determined the claims were ‘unfounded.’ Mr. Combs was nowhere near Orinda, California, on the day she claims she was assaulted.”
The attorneys’ statement went on to say: “There is no evidence that Mr. Combs was ever in the same room as Ms. Parham. She is completely unbelievable and no sane person who views the evidence will credit her story.”
