Chris Cillizza serves as a network contributor for NewsNation. He joined the network in March 2025. 

Previously, Mr. Cillizza served as a contributor to Scripps News. Prior to Scripps, Mr. Cillizza served as a political reporter and digital editor-at-large at CNN from 2017 to 2022 where he launched The Point with Chris Cillizza, a multiplatform brand. Previously, he spent ten years at The Washington Post where he founded and wrote The Fix, a daily political blog.

He owns a production company, Cheney Road Productions, and maintains a successful Substack newsletter called So What. He also hosts a weekly series for Monumental Sports Network called Politics Aside with Chris Cillizza and maintains a YouTube channel with over 60,000 subscribers where he uploads content daily. 

Mr. Cillizza is the author two books, Power Players: Sports, Politics, and the American Presidency and The Gospel According to The Fix.

He regularly appears as a guest on The Tony Kornheiser Show and has appeared on national television networks, including NBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and C-SPAN. Additionally, he has contributed to The Atlantic, Slate, and Washingtonian and has taught journalism classes at Georgetown University and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University

Mr. Cillizza is a graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
