(NewsNation) — Jennifer Lopez has laid out her relationship dealbreakers while on stage in Las Vegas and one thing is for certain: her next suitor will have to respect her.

Following her performance of her 1999 smash hit “If You Had My Love,” Lopez reflected on the lyrics of the song at her Las Vegas residency on Saturday.

“When I first sang it, I was very young,” she told the crowd in a video shared on Instagram from her show. “And I sang it with a lot of hope.”

Adding that she has sung the song over the years through various emotions, but now sings it differently.

The actress continued, “Because the truth is, if you wanted to have my love, you would have to earn it,” she said as her fans cheered loudly. “You would have to treat me right. You would have to respect me.”

“You’d have to accept me for all that I am,” she continued. “You’d have to love me if you wanted my love.”

Lopez’s declaration comes a year after her and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce.

The “Jenny from the Block” performer told “CBS Sunday Morning” in September that the end of the marriage is something she just had to push through, but says it worked out in the end.

“Honestly, I have to say, it was the best thing that ever happened to me, because it changed me — it didn’t change me, it helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow, become more self-aware. I’m a different person now than I was last year,” she said.
