(NewsNation) — A naked man wearing only a face mask was arrested for allegedly robbing a meat market in Florida in late December, the Lake City Police Department said.

On Dec. 23, officers arrived at BJ’s Meat Market, where employees informed them of the man’s clothing status, and authorities began reviewing security footage.

“Upon arrival, officers made contact with store employees, determined no one was injured and immediately began gathering information while employees assisted with reviewing surveillance video,” a press release said. “Employees reported the suspect was nude except for a covering over his face.”

Officers found clothing and “other property” related to the incident on the scene.

The suspect, identified as Kobe Watkins, was transported for medical evaluation, although it’s not clear why.

“Incidents like this are unsettling, but our officers responded quickly, secured the scene, and worked with our partners to identify and arrest the suspect,” said Chief of Police Gerald Butler in a press release. “We appreciate the swift assistance from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the cooperation from the business employees that helped bring this to a safe resolution.”
