SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is actively searching for Terrence Washington, a man wanted for felony theft following a shoplifting incident.

On November 22, 2025, at a business on Youree Drive, police say Washington entered the store around 4 p.m. and gathered a large number of items from the men’s department, strategically placing them throughout the store.

Surveillance footage allegedly shows him eventually grabbing a laundry basket, filling it with the stolen merchandise, and running out of the store while avoiding checkout lines.

The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be over $1,000.

Investigators say they have determined that Washington is also wanted by the Bossier City Police Department for a similar crime and has multiple felony theft warrants issued in Texas.

The Shreveport Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Washington on one count of felony theft.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the department at 318-673-7300.
