(NewsNation) — Mariah Carey might not want a lot for Christmas… but she does want you to buy tickets to her show before the “Queen of Christmas” is dethroned.

Carey’s “Christmastime in Las Vegas” holiday residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM, which runs through Dec. 13,  is not sold out. In fact the show, once thought to be a shoo-in for sales, has plenty of tickets left — in all sections, for all shows.

To make matters worse, on opening night last week, I’m told Carey walked out on stage, only to be greeted by an arena that was half full, leaving the Christmas diva in shock.

”There weren’t even seat fillers to make her feel better,” one source said.

Another Vegas insider said, “It’s an expensive show at a time where people are cutting back. There’s also other really great performers in Vegas right now — the town is heaving – that won’t cost as much to see.”
