(NewsNation) — Ocean Spray is investigating recent reports that cans of its jellied cranberry sauce only contained water after multiple videos went viral over the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We’re aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we’re looking into how this may have happened,” the company said in a statement to NBC News.

A video posted to TikTok shows three open cans of the brand’s jellied cranberry sauce filled with water, and an individual opening a fourth can to discover only water as well. The video quickly went viral, racking up more than 10 million views.

Another video posted to Facebook on Friday shows a woman opening a can of cranberry sauce to the same outcome.

“Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can of sauce not meeting expectations matters to us,” Ocean Spray said. “We’ve reached out to the folks who shared these videos to learn more and make it right.”

Ocean Spray’s cranberry sauce wasn’t the only product that faced a mishap over the holiday. Another user posted a video to TikTok opening a can of Del Monte green beans — and finding beets inside instead.

NewsNation has reached out to Del Monte Foods for comment.
