(NewsNation) — The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has added nine additional products to its list of imported cookware that may leach lead into food.
In September, the FDA issued a consumer warning alerting people to certain brands of imported cookware that may leach “significant levels” of lead into food. The list was updated in October and then again on Nov. 24.
The imported cookware products, made from aluminum, brass and aluminum alloys, were tested by officials who found that they may release lead into food during the cooking process. The following nine products were added to the list:

The FDA warns there is no safe level of lead exposure. “Young children, women of child-bearing age, and those who are breastfeeding may be at higher risk for potential adverse events after eating food cooked using these products,” according to the FDA.
Retailers are advised not to sell the products listed above. Consumers should check their homes for these items and dispose of them if found.
