MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say they are investigating the death of a missing dad found nearly three weeks ago in an abandoned garage as a homicide.
Robert Grove’s body was discovered on Nov. 2 in the 3300 block of Egypt Central Road in the Raleigh community.
Grove was reported missing after he didn’t return to his home on Oct. 27. The next day, family members tracked his phone to the Surrey Apartments and found his Chevrolet Avalanche.
Police were called to the scene after relatives said they found blood on the front seat of his vehicle. Grove was nowhere in sight.
Five days later, Grove’s body was discovered inside the abandoned garage. At the time, Grove’s sister thanked those who helped search for him.

“We’ve all been in this area,” his sister, Racquel Jackson, said. “I don’t want nobody to beat themselves up for not finding him.”
Grove worked at the Lucky Grain Market and left behind a one-year-old daughter.
His sister said he lived with his mother, and when he wasn’t there to take her to work or pick up his daughter, they knew something was wrong.
Police have not released any details about their investigation.
