(NewsNation) — Police have made an arrest in the case of missing Philadelphia woman Kada Scott as the search for Scott remains urgent.
Scott, 23, has been missing since early October. She was last seen leaving her job at a senior living center on Oct. 4, 2025. Her car was still at her workplace, and her phone was dead.
Police arrested Keon King, 21, who they say was the last person in contact with Scott on the day she went missing. They say the two did know each other, though it’s not clear for how long.
Scott said she was being harassed before she disappeared, but it’s not clear if King was the person harassing her.
King allegedly has a history of similar crimes, including a case where he was charged with kidnapping and strangling a woman. The case never went to court because the victim did not want to testify, but charges are now being refiled.
Police are urging additional victims to come forward.
Investigators are also looking for a 1999 metallic gold Toyota Camry with a Pennsylvania tag of MSX0797 with heavy front-end damage on the left bumper, which may no longer have the same tag number.
Police also received a tip about possible evidence at an abandoned elementary school and say they did recover evidence related to Scott’s case. Crime scene investigators, homicide detectives and K-9 units were brought in to conduct additional searches.
Although homicide investigators have been brought into the case, police say they are still treating the case as if Scott is alive. They say the homicide investigators were brought in because of their training and resources.
Anyone with information on the case should contact 215-686-TIPS (8477).
