(NewsNation) — Priscilla Presley revealed that Kim Kardashian called her so she could speak to her ex-boyfriend Robert Kardashian on his deathbed. 

Presley shared the news in her new book, “Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis,” where she detailed her relationship with Robert Kardashian, whom she dated in 1975, according to People.  

“Robert was a sweet man, and I liked him. But after a few months, I realized it wasn’t going to work out,” Presley writes in the book, saying that he worked long hours and only wanted to relax when the weekend rolled around, which went against the more “active” life she wanted.  

Robert Kardashian died in 2023 from esophageal cancer. Presley said Kim Kardashian called her from the hospital and let them have “one last conversation.”  

“He was the kindest of men, and I remember him with great affection,” she wrote.
