(NewsNation) — R&B singer D4vd has broken the lease of his Hollywood Hills home amid an investigation into the dismembered body of a missing teenager found in a car registered to his name, according to The Daily Mail.

The news on the lease comes nearly a week after the home was raided by the Los Angeles Police Department’s homicide unit.

The remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found in the trunk of D4vd’s Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard on Sept. 8.

Celeste was reported missing in April 2024 when she was only 13 years old, authorities said.

Police raid D4vd’s Hollywood Hills house

TMZ’s Charles Latibeaudiere told “Banfield” that police swooped on the house D4vd had been staying at on Sept. 17 in search of anything resembling “blood evidence.”

“They were checking drains to see if there’s any blood evidence or blood or tissue that was in the drains there,” he said. “So, they did a scouring of this house, looking for any evidence.”

Police told TMZ that the home was “about a block, block and a half” from where D4vd’s Tesla was parked before it was towed.

“On September 17, 2025, detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division served a search warrant on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez,” the LAPD said in a statement.

“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days. This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads.”

New details emerge related to D4vd

The “Romantic Homicide” singer allegedly had a casket on the stage while he was performing, and he released a music video in February, “One More Dance,” which featured a body being dragged and put into a trunk.

In the video, D4vd is playing both the killer and the victim

When asked by NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield if D4vd’s actions show he has a different way of thinking, TMZ’s Charles Latibeaudiere agreed his behavior does stand out.

“It definitely works a little differently,” Latibeaudiere said about D4vd’s mindset. “On the other hand, I’m sure his attorney would say to you that’s his art. You can’t prosecute someone or arrest someone based on their art.”

D4vd cancels rest of tour

D4vd was on tour when he was contacted by police, who told him a decomposing body was found in his car.

While police haven’t officially linked D4vd and the victim, a leaked D4vd song mentions Celeste multiple times, Latibeaudiere said.

The track, which leaked on Soundcloud in December 2023, was titled “Celeste_Demo unfin.”

The singer canceled the rest of his tour amid an investigation into Celeste’s death.
